1.
The
minutes of the GIFC public meeting held 1/19/03 were approved.
2.
The
reply to linetime.org was directed to be emailed.
3.
Max
Benjamin quoted from the Skagit Valley Herald: “The Board [of
commissioners]gave their approval to retain Berk & Associates to implement
the results of the analysis.” He
read a general response to the Scope of Work for Berk and Associates
Guemes Island Ferry Implementation Plan and then specific responses to the individual tasks in the
Plan.
4.
The
Committee’s response to the Scope of Work for Berk and Associates Guemes Island Ferry
Implementation Plan
was further reviewed and the response
by the GIFC will be presented as written.
5.
The
Communications Plan was discussed and accorded an interim adoption pending
thorough Committee review and acceptance by the electorate at the next
quarterly meeting.
6.
The
Committee decided the best method of providing for guests to speak at working
meetings was to:
a)
Have
them make an appointment with the Chairman.
b)
Provide
their subject of discussion prior to the meeting.
c)
Estimate
the time needed for their presentation.
d)
Have
guests speakers first on the agenda.
7.
The
Committee’s response to the Scope of Work for Berk and Associates Guemes Island Ferry
Implementation Plan
will be presented to Don Munks on 1/24/03
8.
The
Committee discussed the miscommunication received from Public Works on what was
the agenda for discussion at the meeting on the 26th.
9.
The Committee discussed the presentation before the Board of
.County Commissioners and decided to be guided by feedback from the meeting
with Commissioner Munks on 1/24/03.
10.
The agreed to approach Terry Ebersole to see if he would be
interested in assisting the Committee in freeing up the roadblocks surrounding
the completion of the Anacortes parking lot.
